Coffee shops in Glasgow

Glasgow had three cafés on the Best Coffee Shops in the UK list for 2026, more than any other Scottish city: Ottoman Coffeehouse in the West End, Zennor's Langside café on the Southside and Through the House on High Street. Some of the best-known cafés here belong to local roasters, Zennor and Papercup among them.

Every Glasgow coffee shop we list

Plain links, so every venue is reachable without a map or a search box. Pages marked as unverified are published but not yet checked: we do not put prices or hours on a page until somebody has confirmed them.

Areas of Glasgow

An area gets its own page once enough of its venues are verified to be worth one. Until then the venues are listed here directly, because a card that only leads to a thinner copy of this list is a dead end.

  • West End2 venues

Great Western Road, the streets around the university and the edge of Finnieston, with cafés that serve students and residents as much as visitors.

  • City centre and Merchant City1 venue

The grid of streets between Central Station and Glasgow Cross, with weekday office trade and the old High Street.

  • Southside1 venue

Residential neighbourhoods south of the Clyde, including Langside, where cafés depend on regulars from the surrounding streets.

What coffee costs in Glasgow

There are no checked Glasgow drink prices in this directory yet, so this page gives no city average. The spread you will see comes mostly from location and format. City-centre cafés pay city-centre rent and depend on weekday footfall, the West End trades on a large student and university population, and Southside cafés rely on the streets around them. A roaster-run café is pouring coffee it roasted itself, so it pays no wholesale margin to anyone else on the beans.
