Coffee shops in Liverpool

Liverpool's independent coffee runs from the Ropewalks streets around Bold Street down into the converted warehouses of the Baltic Triangle, with a second cluster on Lark Lane by Sefton Park. Crosby Coffee, roasting since 2014, and Press Bros, which began as a coffee van at Baltic Market in 2017, opened on Lark Lane within a week of each other in October 2021.

Every Liverpool coffee shop we list

Plain links, so every venue is reachable without a map or a search box. Pages marked as unverified are published but not yet checked: we do not put prices or hours on a page until somebody has confirmed them.

Areas of Liverpool

An area gets its own page once enough of its venues are verified to be worth one. Until then the venues are listed here directly, because a card that only leads to a thinner copy of this list is a dead end.

What coffee costs in Liverpool

Rent and footfall explain most of the difference between one Liverpool café and the next: a site in the Ropewalks pays city-centre rates, while a suburban street like Lark Lane usually has lower overheads and a more local trade. A few shops publish their prices. Mother Espresso on Wood Street listed a double espresso at £3 and an eight-ounce milk coffee at £3.90 on its own menu in October 2026. For the rest, this directory will record prices once they have been checked.
